The Safe and Healthy Foods Working Group focuses on partnerships with the health department, providing educational opportunities, and creating resources to support local growers and producers to meet and inform local health regulations.

The Safe & Healthy Foods working group (formerly known as the Pima County Health Department Collaboration group) is just getting started working with the Pima County Health Department. In addition to building a relationship between PCFA and the health department, this group will be creating resources to assist growers and producers with food safety and meeting local regulations.

This group is open to anyone interested in safe and healthy food production, no prior experience is required! If you have prior experience or knowledge of local health codes that would be fantastic; however this group also needs folks who are interested in communication and accessible education, have skills creating decision trees and online resources, and are interested in networking with individuals who support all aspects of providing safe and healthy foods.

We would love to have you join us - please contact Working Group chair jenlthorn@hotmail.com for more information.
